Neocolours: the Neopets colour/species guide

This page contains pets unusual in some way or another- some are based on real-life animals, some have interesting Beaten poses, and others are just weird.

Species
Lennies
	Each of these lennies is based off a real bird- the Red-tailed Hawk, Peacock, Vulture, Flamingo, Macaw and Fish Crow.
Colours
Desert pets
	These desert pets are based off figures from Egyptian mythology- Set, Hathor and Anubis
Halloween pets
	These Halloween pets are all based off site characters- Count Von Roo, Dr Sloth, the Nightsteed and the Tax Beast.
Maraquan pets
	These maraquan pets are based off the following sea creatures: Octopus, Seahorse, Lobster, Shark, Coral, Manta ray, Sea lion, Puffer fish (see the deflated beaten pose) and Sea turtle.
Spotted pets
	These spotted pets are all based on real life animals- the Dalmatian, the Fresian or Holstein cow, the Koi (probably the Sanke), the cheetah and the Leopard Seal.
Tyrannian pets
	These Tyrannian pets are all based on extinct animals- an Ankylosaur, a Microceratops, a wooly mammoth, a Smilodon and a Spinosaurus.
Individual pets
Christmas Pteri
	The Christmas Pteri, rather than being candy-cane striped or having reindeer prongs attached, is based off the European Robin. They are often seen around Christmas and appear on Christmas cards.
Glowing Buzz
	The Glowing Buzz glows like a firefly, in contrast to most Glowing pets.
Halloween Cybunny
	The Halloween Cybunny is based off Bunnicula, and in the beaten pose can be seen shrinking away from the light, like a vampire.
Halloween Lupe
	The Halloween Lupe in the Beaten pose is turning back from a werewolf into a Lupe, like a werewolf turns back into a man.
Starry Korbat
	The Starry Korbat is the only Korbat to hang upside down in the circle pose.
